MXP Prokletije

The “Millet Expedition Projects” are back for a new edition !

The application stage for the MXP 2023 ended the 30th of November 2022.

WHAT IS THE MXP?

Open to all amateur adventurers, the first objective of the MXP is to allow each and every one of them to fulfil their dreams. Whether it is purely for athletic performance, to meet local people, or to discover and study the environmental changes that surround us, the singularity and originality of the project, as well as the enthusiasm and motivation of the participants are what will help the contenders to stand out each year and realise their project.

An expedition is an enriching and important experience for all adventure lovers. The support provided by the Millet Expedition Projects allows these adventurers to seriously consider ambitious projects.
The example of Antoine Bletton, 2 time winner of the MXP and now a member of the GMHM (Military mountaineering group) is a great example. ’ Thanks to the Millet Expedition Projects we benefitted from the training and experience of expedition experts. ‘When in the mountains, success depends greatly on preparation, while the rest hangs on luck.’

This 14th edition is a new opportunity to support diverse and original projects, with the strong backing of a pool of technical partners, under the stewardship of the 2023 edition’s patron, mountain guide and explorer Jean Annequin.

Open to adventurers of all nationalities and from all horizons, the MXPs have supported nearly 90 selected expeditions since they started in 2007, representing 374 awardees, at 65 destinations across the world and a range of activities (skiing, canoeing, hiking, climbing, diving, paragliding…)

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?

A full application file has to be filled in and delivered via the available form on the registration page.

WHAT ARE THE KEY DEADLINES?

The application stage starts on October 15, 2022, and ends on the 30th of November 2022.

HOW ARE THE WINNERS SELECTED?

After the application stage, each project offered will be judged following a precise evaluation grid which, among other things considers, the originality of the project, its feasibility, the social and environmental dimension or the communication capacity. At the end of this evaluation, 6 projects will be preselected to be promoted in front of our jury which will select the 3 most appealing for them to launch their expedition during 2023! The 3 winners will be announced on December 15, 2022.

WHAT TYPE OF SUPPORT DO THE WINNERS BENEFIT FROM?

Future projects will benefit from financial and material help, customised training and full backing during all the expedition time, in order to optimise the chances of success for each project. On top of this, Jean Annequin, patron of this edition, will share his experience with each winner and provide valuable advice for the success of each project.
